Sharjah has initiated the exploration of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at minimising fire related disasters in the emirate as a partial measure towards enhancing building safety.
Locally and internationally affiliated specialists along with government bodies are vigorously undertaking research at the American University of Sharjah focused on employing AI for fire hazard prediction and prevention at a preemptive level.
The aim is to develop AI smart systems that building infrastructures will be able to utilize for advanced early detection of risks, rapid response to emergencies, and hence effective saving of lives and assets.
This pioneering effort shows Sharjah’s concern towards public safety, technological advancement, and reformation for urban growth.
