An eyewitness, speaking to khaleej times on condition of anonymity, described the frightening moment the incident began.’my wife and i were in the kitchen when we heard a loud bang. we ran out to the living room to see what had happened. we saw a man with a gun, pointing it at my wife. he was shouting at her to get down on the floor. we were terrified and didn’t know what to do.’ Initially, we believed it was a lift problem. However, as soon as we entered the hallway, we witnessed a chaotic scene with people running and thick smoke engulfing the area.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene, working quickly to extinguish the fire and help people leave the building. The fire, easily seen from the outside, raised worries among the neighboring structures as well.
