In an emotional event hosted at the Church of St. Francis in the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi, hundreds of priests, diplomats and community members attended a special memorial Mass in honor of the late Pope Francis. The Mass was an emotional tribute to the successor of St. Francis of Assisi whose compassion and humility has touched the lives of many across the globe.
Pope Francis: Sir II. The Apostoli Nuncio, during his sermon, recalled the late Pope’s exceptional leadership and remembered him for telling the world that the “Church is a hospital for the poor.” The late Pope used to simplify everything and cared deeply for the poor in the society and was ever-so-closely connected to the people which set a tone in papacy that was distinctively different and kinder.
The choice of venue, the Abrahamic Family House, serves as the late Pope’s symbol of the people’s mission to bring together and strengthen the understanding among different faiths and communities. It has served as a powerful reminder for those who don’t understand the enduring influence Pope Francis has and his needs for the world to be filled with love, humility and heed service.
During the memorial Mass, Pope Francis was an inspiring figure once again, recalling hope and belief in his compassionate and just world which continues to treat everyone with respect and dignity. 🌍✝️
