Sky High and Barely Holding On: Sergey Boytsov’s No-Parachute Stunt Shocks the World

Imagine hanging 1,500 meters above the ground – no parachute, no safety line, and no other chance at all. This is the same as 30 -year -old Russian athlete Sergei Boyatsov in a jaw -leaving stunt which is now in the global headlines.

Boytsov claims to be the first time in the world that gymnastics flips under a hot air balloon – without any safety equipment. Once suspended by, he pulled a series of aerial twist with only his grip and courage, keeping him alive.

“There was no insurance,” Boyswsov said. “If I let go, it was this.”

The performance of death is thrilling and terrible in equal parts. Due to no parachute to break the fall, every step had to be innocent. Stunts have ignited both praise and controversy, some called it an extreme athletic milestone and other people question the risk-to-inam ratio.
