A fire broke out in Sharjah at a 52-storey residential tower which houses over 1,500 people of different nationalities on Sunday morning amid commotion.
🚨 At 11:31 am, Police in Sharjah received a call regarding a fire in an apartment located on one of the uppermost floors. Emergency services started moving within minutes.
👮♂️👨🚒 Police in Sharjah with Civil Defence alongside the National Ambulance arrived at the location. They rapidly secured the area and cleared the passages for emergency vehicles. Fire combat teams strove to control the fire and ensure that people are evacuated safely.
No injuries have been documented to date which is a fortunate turn of events. Currently, authorities are conducting an extensive investigation in a bid to find the fire’s origin and see the damages inflicted on the building.
While residents commended the initial response to the Fire, Officials were keen to remind the public that there is always a need for fire safety measures and for people to place alertness during emergency situations.
